·2 min read

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — As coronavirus cases and hospitalizations surge throughout DuPage County, more residents are seeking COVID-19 tests, but running into roadblocks finding them.

As of Dec. 22, DuPage County has reported a daily average of 642 new coronavirus cases and 233 daily hospitalizations. Additionally, some people are wanting to get tested following their family holiday gatherings.

The DuPage County Health Department provides drive-thru PCR testing for COVID-19 at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park. Wait times have been long, according to the county health department's website, so residents are encouraged to register for a COVID-19 test in advance. The testing site at Odeum Expo Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
