Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:

  1. A free COVID-19 testing site in Charleston temporarily closed on Friday as it became the subject of investigations. The pause at all 300 Center for Covid Control locations is expected to take place until January 21st. The centers had come under scrutiny due to their testing practices. (WCBD News 2)

  2. An arrest has been made in regards to the May 2021 shooting at VIBEZ Restaurant and Lounge. Syqoune Moody was apprehended by North Charleston police early on Friday. The shooting claimed the life of one victim. (WTMA)

  3. The city of Charleston recently announced that it will be launching a new program to encourage composting in the community. On Jan. 23rd, citizens can drop their compost at designated sites throughout the city. These sites are at Ackerman Park, Corrine Jones Park, or Medway Park. (WCBD News 2)
