‘Cowboy Tommy’ Illini fan now has his own t-shirt available online

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Illini fans are getting ready to cheer on their team, and one fan is particularly ready. “Cowboy Tommy” is the seventh grader who started growing in fame for his dancing at the State Farm Center.

Now, he has his own shirt on the Illinois NIL online store. It launched just two days ago and is the top-selling product on the site.

Tommy Rouse never expected to have his own shirt and was excited when the Campus Ink company called his parents with the idea.

“All my friends keep asking me, can I get a shirt? When can I get a shirt? I’m like, you can buy one! I can supply one,” Rouse said. “It feels good. Overwhelming at times, but I don’t really care.”

Half of the money from the t-shirt sales will go back to “ICON,” a group supporting Illinois athletes. The other half will go back to Rouse and into his college fund.
