TURNOVER DIFFERENTIAL: Giants minus-4; Cowboys plus-5.

GIANTS PLAYER TO WATCH: Tommy DeVito. He is about to become the first rookie free agent to start a regular-season game at quarterback for the Giants in the common draft era, except for Jim Crocicchia in a 1987 strike-replacement game. He was 15 of 20 for 175 yards with his first career TD pass against the Raiders after Daniel Jones sustained a season-ending knee injury. The Cowboys had seven sacks and 12 QB hits in the season opener. Expect them to test DeVito.

COWBOYS PLAYER TO WATCH: WR CeeDee Lamb will try to get a fourth consecutive 100-yard game for the first time in his four-year career. The 2020 first-round pick has reset his career high in yards receiving each of the past two weeks, capped by a 191-yard performance against the Eagles. This three-game run started right after Lamb was visibly frustrated on the sideline over not getting the ball in a 42-10 loss at San Francisco.

KEY MATCHUP: Giants RB Saquon Barkley vs. the Dallas defense. The Cowboys are in the middle of the pack in rushing defense, but haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher. Multiple players have averaged 6-7 yards per carry, though. Barkley didn't get much chance to have an impact in the opener because the Cowboys were up 26-0 by the middle of the second quarter. Barkley, who is looking for his fourth straight game with at least 110 yards from scrimmage, hasn't had 100 yards rushing in a game against the Cowboys since the 2019 opener.

KEY INJURIES: Giants OT Evan Neal returned from an ankle injury last week after missing two games but is out again after injuring the other ankle against the Raiders. ... CB Adoree Jackson is out after leaving the Las Vegas game with a concussion. ... OLB Azeez Ojulari (ankle) has started practicing after four weeks on injured reserve. ... Cowboys WR/KR KaVontae Turpin injured his ribs against the Eagles but stayed in the game. He was experiencing soreness and wasn't practicing to start the week, but there were indications he might play.

SERIES NOTES: The Cowboys have won five straight and 12 of 13, including a 40-0 rout in the opener this season at MetLife Stadium. ... The shutout loss was the largest between the teams, topping the Cowboys’ 35-0 win in 1995. It was also the Cowboys’ biggest shutout victory in any game, topping their 38-0 win over the Baltimore Colts in 1978.

STATS AND STUFF: The Cowboys have an 11-game home winning streak. A victory would make it the longest run at home since winning 18 in a row from 1979-81 at since-demolished Texas Stadium. ... The Giants make their second stop on a three-game road trip that started in Las Vegas and will end in Washington. ... The New York offense hasn’t scored a first-quarter touchdown all season. ... Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson caught his first TD of the season last week and the second of his career. ... Edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux leads the team with 8 1/2 sacks. ... ILB Bobby Okereke has a team-high 80 tackles. ... ILB Micah McFadden had 11 tackles against Dallas in the opener. ... S Xavier McKinney had had career-high 10 tackles last week. ... Veteran PK Randy Bullock was signed to the practice squad last week and promoted to the active roster Sunday. He did not attempt a field goal or PAT. ... Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy can tie Mike Holmgren for 18th on the coaching victories list at 161. Each won a Super Bowl while coaching Green Bay. ... Since losing twice to the Giants to start his career, QB Dak Prescott has a personal 11-game winning streak against his NFC East rival, with 22 touchdowns and five interceptions in the victories. ... RB Tony Pollard scored two rushing touchdowns in the opener against the Giants but doesn't have any since then. ... Star pass rusher Micah Parsons went almost three games without a sack. Now the 2021 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year is looking for a fourth consecutive game with at least one. ... The first of CB DaRon Bland's NFL-leading three interception returns for a touchdown came in the first meeting against the Giants, when a hard hit by fellow cornerback Trevon Diggs knocked the ball out of Barkley's hands and into the air for an easy grab and score for Bland. Diggs has since been lost to a season-ending knee injury. ... Rookie K Brandon Aubrey has an NFL-record streak of 19 consecutive made field goals to start a career. The record-breaker was a 51-yarder against the Eagles.

FANTASY TIP: Prescott has thrown for at least three touchdowns five times in 13 meetings against the Giants. He has also completed at least 80% of his passes in all three home games this season.
