Cox Communications awards grant money totaling $30,000 to 12 Arkansas schools

ARKANSAS (KNWA/KFTA) — Cox Communications gives 12 Arkansas schools totaling $30,000 through the Cox Charities education grants.

According to a press release, the education grants support technology and programs that promote and enhance students’ academic success and educational experience.

The schools were each given $2,500.

Alpena High School will use the money for its “Makerspace Magic: Sparking Innovation in the Classroom” project.

Bentonville Virtual School will use the money for “Science at Home.”

Darby Middle School in Fort Smith will use the money for its “Carry On” project.

Don Tyson School of Innovation in Springdale will use the money for its “Debate and Forensics Competitive Team” project.

Hackett Elementary School will use the money for its “Generation Genius” project.

Har-Ber High School in Springdale will use the money for the Har-Ber Learning Center.

The International School at Mary Mae Jones in Bentonville for its “Speech Therapy Books and Games” project.

Oakdale Middle School in Rogers will use the project for its “School Garden” project.

Ramsey Middle School in Fort Smith will use the money for its “Let Us Go with Vex Go” project.

Sunnymede Elementary School in Fort Smith will use the money for its “Outdoor Classroom” project and its “Bee Bots for Elementary STEM” project.

Sunshine School of Development in Rogers will use the money for its “EIDT Classroom Supplies” Project.
