UPDATE: Previously missing Columbus man reunited with family

UPDATE 02-09-2024: The Columbus Police has confirmed with WRBL that Bell was located and has been “reunited with close friends and family.”

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department is looking for an elderly man last seen on Wednesday and is asking for help from locals to find him.

CPD says 71-year-old Michael Bell was last seen on Feb. 7 around 5:45 p.m. near the 1100 block of 11thAvenue and 15th Street. Polic say Bell is traveling on foot and uses a walker and describe him as standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds with brown eyes and black and gray hair.

Anyone with information on Bell possible whereabouts are encouraged by CPD to contact 911, CPD’s Adult and Youth Services at 706-225-3449 or Detective J. Copeland at 706-225-4343.
