Readings in Natural History: Women in the Wild
Celebrate Women’s History Month with this four-part series. From First Ladies to explorers, ranchers to educators, you’ll explore the natural world through the pens of amazing, trail-blazing women. Join naturalist Carrie Elvey for this virtual series, capped off by a discussion with Deborah Fleming, author of “Resurrection of the Wild: Meditations on Ohio’s Natural Landscape.” Each week, there will be two to three short readings paired with a video chat discussion. Celebration of the Canton Symphony Orchestra
Canton Symphony Orchestra Principal Horn Meghan Guegold and Concertmaster Cristian Zimmerman will play Strauss and Prokofiev concertos, respectively. Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges was a French Classical composer, virtuoso violinist, conductor of the leading symphony orchestra in Paris, and a renowned champion fencer.
