Craig Greenberg shooting: Quintez Brown indicted on multiple charges by grand jury
A Jefferson County Grand Jury has indicted Quintez Brown on multiple charges in last month's shooting at Louisville mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg's office.
Brown faces one count of criminal attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment in the first degree under the indictment, which was returned Monday.
Police say the shooting took place the morning of Feb. 14 when Brown entered Greenberg's campaign office in Butchertown and began shooting at him.
Neither Greenberg nor any of his four staffers who were in the office at the time were injured, but a bullet grazed Greenberg's clothing.

The following day Brown — a former Courier Journal intern and University of Louisville student — pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against him and his attorney, Rob Eggert, requested a bond decrease and urged the court to recognize Brown's mental state.
Eggert said Brown had been battling “mental and emotional issues.”
"This is not a hate crime — it is a mental health case," he said in an interview after the arraignment.
On Feb. 16, Brown was released from jail after $100,000 was put forward by the Louisville Community Bail Fund, a local group that raises money to free defendants in criminal cases and connect them with pretrial support resources. Since, he has been on home incarceration.
Brown will be formally arraigned April 4.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Milja Zgonjanin is the prosecutor.
Brown, who is also an independent Metro Council candidate, interned at The Courier Journal intern and opinion writer in 2019 and 2020. He occasionally wrote opinion columns for the editorial page after that and last wrote for the newspaper in May 2021.
He also went missing for two weeks last summer. After he was found in New York City, his family asked for privacy while they tended to "Quintez's physical, mental and spiritual needs."
