Country and media star and Army veteran Craig Morgan, of Dickson, presented executives from Operation Finally Home on stage at the Grand Ole Opry last month during its special Salute The Troops show.

Morgan donated his $70,000 winnings from CBS’s Beyond The Edge as well as a $30,000 donation from Monster Energy Cares to Operation Finally Home. The charity provides mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans and first responders.

“We are excited to accept this donation, which will allow us to further our mission of honoring veterans, first responders and their families with homes and home modifications,” said Dan Wallrath, founder of Operation Finally Home.

This year, Morgan put his military skills to work in the new TV series, “Beyond The Edge.” Nine celebrities lived in the jungles of Panama, where they faced challenges and endured tough conditions to raise money for their chosen charities.
