Cranford To Host Parade To Celebrate High School Baseball Champs

CRANFORD, NJ — After the Cranford Cougars High School Baseball Team earned its victory against Jackson in the Last Dance World Series, the town will host a parade Sunday evening.

"Grab some Cougar gear, blue and gold, and come out to cheer on our CHS Champions and Coach Dennis McCaffery on their tremendous victory, hard work, and dedication to the sport," announced the town on Saturday.

The Cranford Police sent out an advisory that the parade will start Sunday at 6 p.m.

The parade will begin at Cranford High School and the route will be as follows: West End Place to Norman Place, Norman Place to Eastman Street, Eastman Street to Miln Street (passing Post Office Plaza), Miln Street to North Avenue, North Avenue to North Union Avenue, and North Union Avenue to Springfield Avenue.

The parade will end fronting the Cranford Municipal Building. Expect traffic delays along the parade route.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic parade attendees are asked to practice social distancing along the parade route and are encouraged to wear a mask.
