Crash at I-75 and Luckett Road overpass forces lane closures

A commercial vehicle crashed into the overpass at Luckett Road and Interstate 75 in Fort Myers Saturday morning, forcing lane closures.

All Luckett Road lanes at the overpass and the right lane of I-75 northbound are shut down, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

"Further assessment of the bridge will occur to determine if any structural damage," FHP Lt. Gregory Bueno wrote in a statement. "Please travel with caution."

The crash involved a commercial vehicle and there were no injuries, troopers said.

As of 10:35 a.m. there was no major slowdown on I-75 near the crash site, according to Google Maps traffic data.
