Crash on Hillendale Drive in Muskego claims life of 38-year-old Burlington man

MUSKEGO - A 38-year-old Burlington man died in a single-vehicle crash on Hillendale Drive just south of College Avenue on Saturday night.

Muskego police said Jose Vazquez, who was publicly identified late Monday afternoon, was the sole occupant of the vehicle, but little more was known about the circumstances of the crash as investigators reconstruct the accident, which occurred shortly before 10 p.m.

According to a news release issued late Saturday, police and Tess Corners rescue workers arrived at the scene and immediately began life saving measures, which ended at about 10:30 p.m. when Vazquez was pronounced deceased. The Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office was called to the scene, as well.

Authorities said the Wisconsin State Patrol was assisting in reconstructing the crash, which forced the closure of Hillendale Drive for a time while the initial investigation was underway.
