Crash in Perry County kills Glouster man

CORNING — A 70-year-old Glouster man died on Wednesday following a crash on Ohio 155 in Monroe Township, according to Lt. M.D. Akers of the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

James Martin was traveling east around milepost 7 in his 2003 Ford F-150 around 3:30 p.m. when he drove off the left side of the road and struck a downed tree.

Martin, who was not wearing hit seat belt, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Others responding where the Perry Coroner's Office, Perry County Sheriff's Office, Corning Police Department, Crooksville EMS and Shawnee Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
