Crash shuts down NJ Turnpike express lanes near George Washington Bridge

Drivers heading toward the George Washington Bridge were treated for a rough commute Tuesday morning after a crash shut down the northbound express lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike.

NJ511 traffic maps showed that the crash happened near the border of Teaneck and Leonia. Delays piled up back toward Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park and by the Interstate 80 interchange in Teaneck.

The crash was reported just after 7 a.m. and was cleared hours later
