Crash in St. Johns leaves one in critical condition

According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, two Sedans were traveling on State Road 2016 at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday night when they collided in the middle of an intersection.

The collision occurred when one driver, who is just 18-years-old, made a left turn on a flashing yellow light directly in front of the oncoming vehicle, who entered the intersection on a solid green light.

Reports state that the right front of the first vehicle struck the left front of the second car.

This caused both cars to spin out of control and come to final rest in the intersection.

The 55 year old driver of the second vehicle, who was struck, has been transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
