Crash on Turnpike in Milltown kills one

New Jersey State Police are investigating an accident on Saturday night which killed a 29-year-old Hamilton man when his motorcycle collided with a four car pile-up on the New Jersey Turnpike.

MILLTOWN – Police were investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday night on the New Jersey Turnpike, said Sgt. Philip Curry of the New Jersey State Police.

The crash occurred at 7:06 p.m. on the northbound side of the outer roadway near mile marker 80.3, Curry said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Scott Locicero, 62, of Ringwood, was traveling north on the Turnpike on the outer roadway when the vehicle struck the left guardrail, traveled across the lanes and struck the right concrete barrier, Curry said.

Locicero suffered fatal injuries, Curry said, and the crash remains under investigation.
