Craving a late-night treat? Insomnia Cookies just opened a Tahoe-area shop

Late-night cookie cravings will no longer be an issue if you’re spending a weekend in the Tahoe area.

Insomnia Cookies recently opened a new location in South Lake Tahoe.

The cookie store is located at 4125 Lake Tahoe Blvd. at the Chateau at the Village, across from The Shops at Heavenly Village.

The sweet shop will celebrate its official grand opening on Thursday, Jan. 11, through Sunday, Jan. 14.

During the grand opening, the store will offer giveaways and swag, according to South Lake Tahoe Now. Those who purchase four classic cookies will receive two free cookies.

Additionally, 10% of in-store purchases during the grand opening will be donated to El Dorado County Search and Rescue.

What’s on the Insomnia Cookies menu?

Known for its extensive open hours and late-night deliveries, Insomnia Cookies offers an assortment of cookies, cakes and brownies, as well as ice cream sandwiches and cookie cakes.

Cookie flavors range from traditional options such as chocolate chunk and oatmeal raisin to s’mores and salted caramel.

The price per cookie ranges from $2.95 to $4.95, depending on what you pick. Prices for bundle cookie boxes start at $18.50 and can go up to $30.

A 100-pack of cookies is also available for $205.

Individual brownies cost $5 and come in flavors including chocolate chunk, chocolate chip and the seasonal jinglebread blondie.

Cookie cakes range in price from $18 to $32 depending on the design and flavor.

When are the cookie store’s open hours?

Insomnia Cookies in South Lake Tahoe is open noon to 1 a.m. Sunday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday and Friday and noon to 3 a.m. Saturday.
