The following restaurant inspections with critical violations were conducted by Crawford County Public Health in May:

Benton General Store, 392 Benton Road, Sycamore, May 17. Ready-to-eat, time/temperature controlled for safety food - date marking (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed deli meats and homemade salads not date marked. Operator corrected this during inspection and placed correct dates on products.

Main Moon, 241 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, May 19. Time/temperature controlled for safety food - cold holding of eggs (critical, corrected during inspection). Raw shell eggs not maintained at 45 degrees or below. Ensure eggs are kept in prep cooler when not using the eggs. Temp of eggs were still ok, so eggs were placed back in cooler, correcting the violation.

Gochenour Meats & More LLC, 131 W. Mansfield St., New Washington, May 24. Packaged and unpackaged food - preventing contamination by separation, packaging and segregation (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed boxes of raw chicken above raw beef in walk-in-cooler. Ensure chicken is on the bottom shelf.
