Crawford County restaurant inspections: September critical violations

The following restaurant inspections with critical violations were conducted by Crawford County Public Health during September:

The Market at Pickwick Place, 1875 N. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, Sept. 1. Packaged and unpackaged food — preventing contamination by separation, packaging and segregation (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed packages of raw meat and pork thawing in same pan. Operator relocated meat during inspection.

Center Street Meat Co. LLC, 100 E. Center St., Bucyrus, Sept. 7. Poisonous or toxic materials: Working containers — common name (critical, corrected during inspection). Ensure bottles of sanitizer and orange colored spray bottle in meat station are labeled with what is in the bottle.

Dillinger's Event Center, 144 Washington Square, Bucyrus, Sept. 13. Poisonous or toxic materials: Storage/separation (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed cleaning products stored on same shelf as disposable lids for cups. Lids moved to a separate location.

Kroger #506, 210 E. Mary St., Bucyrus, Sept. 22. Packaged and unpackaged food — preventing contamination by separation, packaging and segregation (critical, corrected during inspection). Ensure raw meats, chicken and pork are properly separated in retail coolers to prevent possible cross contamination. Special requirements: bulk water machine criteria — sampling (critical). Bulk water machine was not sampled semiannually and/or results not on site. Ensure results are readily available during inspections. Correct by Sept. 26.

Hideaway B & B Inn LLC, 1601 Ohio 4, Bucyrus, Sept. 23. Packaged and unpackaged food — preventing contamination by separation, packaging and segregation (critical, corrected during inspection). Packages of raw meat placed on same tray in cooler with packages of raw pork. A container of potato salad was not date marked. Both corrected during inspection.

Little Caesar's #423, 415 S. Walnut St., Bucyrus, Sept. 29. Poisonous or toxic materials: Storage/separation (critical, corrected during inspection). Ensure cleaners are stored separated from equipment, utensils and food. Observed two cleaning agents on pizza oven.
