'Crazy Rich Asians' star Chris Pang joins Hulu's 'Interior Chinatown' series

“Crazy Rich Asians” star Chris Pang has been cast in a recurring role for Hulu's upcoming series "Interior Chinatown.”

Pang will play Older Brother, the charming and popular sibling of Jimmy O. Yang’s character Willis Wu, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

After Older Brother mysteriously disappears, Willis watches his family fall apart. He embarks on an investigation into his brother’s case after being given key information from Detective Dana Lee (Chloe Bennet).

Interior Chinatown” is based on Charles Yu’s National Book Award-winning novel of the same name. The series’ ensemble cast includes Ronny Chieng as Fatty Choi, Tzi Ma as Joe Wu, Archie Kao as Uncle Wong, Diana Lin as Lily Wu and Lauren Tom as Betty.

Thor: Love and Thunder” and ”Akira” director Taika Waititi will direct the pilot and executive produce the series. Yu will also executive produce and serve as showrunner. Other executive producers include Dan Lin and Elsie Choi.

In addition to “Interior Chinatown,” Pang is also slated to appear in Adele Lim’s directorial debut “Joy Ride,” which stars Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Sabrina Wu and Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu.
