Creative coffee flavors make Coast2Coast a favorite at Halls Farmers Market

Samantha Fox and her family moved from Seattle, Washington, using their 16-foot trailer to haul their belongings in July 2022. At the time, Fox didn’t realize the same trailer would later be transformed into a mobile coffee shop.

Now, her mobile coffee trailer, Coast2Coast Coffee, has become a staple in Halls and a favorite at the Halls Farmers Market.

“I couldn’t find anything that I was used to or my husband was used to out in the Pacific Northwest,” Fox said. “Then, our 16-foot trailer wasn’t selling that we moved here with, and I just didn’t want to stay at home. I was a stay-at-home mom for 12 years, so I thought, ‘Why don't we turn this into mobile coffee trailer?’”

Fox received a business license in October 2022 and began completing mobile orders and pickup orders at her home. In March 2023, Fox received an inquiry about bringing the mobile coffee trailer to the Halls area, but was unsure because of the lack of parking spaces that could accommodate the trailer.

“Justin Biggs reached out to me and said, ‘Hey, I actually have a lot. Do you want to park out here at an old carwash across from the high school?’” Fox said. “It was honestly like a Wednesday morning and I showed up there at 6 a.m. That day I saw over 112 people by myself. From there, the love from Halls just turned into everybody wanting me there.”

Because of the success of the mobile coffee trailer, the Halls Farmers Market reached out to Fox and inquired about her bringing the trailer to the market.

“They welcomed me with open arms, and every time I’m at the farmers market, even if I’m just out there on a random weekday, it’s constant,” Fox said.

Coast2Coast Coffee is known for its fun and innovative approach to coffee. The mobile coffee trailer has more than 50 coffee flavors for customers to choose from, and Fox even encourages customers to share new drink ideas when they visit.

“I have something for everyone,” Fox said. “The first thing people say is, ‘Hey, I’ve never been here. What do you suggest?’ I usually suggest something, or I ask, ‘What do you normally drink?’ I’m always making sure that they’re understanding that if I’m adding three different flavors, I’m doing a little bit of each so you can taste each flavor. If they try it and don’t like it, we’ll go to back to plan A.”

The mobile coffee trailer offers unique drinks such as the Caramel Apple Redbull, which includes Red Bull, green apple syrup and caramel drizzle.

Seasonal drinks such as the Thanksgiving Crumble and Eggnog Latte have recently been announced on Coast2Coast Coffee’s social media platforms.

The mobile coffee trailer offers seasonal drinks such as the Frankenstein Frappe, which includes vanilla bean flavoring and raspberry puree.

“We have the classic peppermint mocha or the peppermint white mocha,” Fox said. “I’m also going to bring in a Gingerbread Frappuccino, which will have gingerbread cookies on it… I just like to have fun with the drinks.”

Due to the upcoming opening of Dutch Bros. Coffee, Fox gave up the mobile coffee trailer’s previous parking spot and is moving the mobile coffee trailer to the parking lot of Black Oak Plaza. Coast2Coast Coffee will now be parked there on the weekdays and weekends during the Halls Farmers Market.

“Halls has been absolutely amazing,” Fox said. “I continuously go back and I will continue to go back even when Dutch Bros is open… It’s just flourished into something that I could have never imagined.”
