St. Malachy

Jane Warner is the new music and band director for prekindergarten through eighth grade. She has 16 years in music education including eight at Creston Middle School Band and eight years at Creston middle and high school choirs. She enjoys music, reading, cooking, walking in nature, "chasing her three boys," travel and coffee.

Angela Coke is the sixth through eighth-grade math teacher. She has 26 years of experience with middle and high school math including algebra and geometry. She previously taught in Creston High, Creston Middle, Murray, East Union and Trumann in Arkansas. She has bachleor's and master's degrees in math and instruction.

Her son Jacob will attend Simpson College this fall and son Zeke will be in kindergarten at St. Malachy. Her husband is Chris.

"I love to be outside with my flowers and by the pool, going for early morning walks when it's quiet and peaceful, and I am looking forward to learning and growing with the dedicated staff at St. Malachy for many years to come," she said.

Kaycie Sanchez is the secretary at the school. She likes reading, Netflix, coffee and time with her husband and children.

Mayflower

Erin Long returns to Mayflower Heritage Christian School as third and fourth-grade teacher. She was at the school from 2010 to 2012 teaching fifth and sixth-grade. From Des Moines, she left Mayflower to raise her children and was comfortable the time was right to come back.

A graduate of Faith Baptist Bible School in Ankeny, Long's experience includes teaching in other private schools and in Portugal.
