Crestview puts four on Division VI All-Ohio football first team, seven total

COLUMBUS — Going 10-0 for the second consecutive regular season is an amazing accomplishment.

But that has nothing on what Crestview did during the Division VI All-Ohio honors on Monday. The Cougars placed four players on first team and seven total players on the list, which was selected by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

Senior Adison Reymer was a first team running back after he finished with 1,395 yards and 20 touchdowns on 196 carries as a standout two-way player for the Cougars.

Senior lineman Mason Ringer played the entire season with a torn ACL and was still impactful, helping the Cougars score 36.8 points per game while going 12-1 and winning the Firelands Conference championship for the third consecutive season. He was a first team All-Ohio selection.

Senior defensive end Owen Barker was a dominant force, recording 80 tackles with 12 sacks and 36 QB pressures to go with 30 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, a safety and a pass breakup. He was named Division VI Northwest District Lineman of the Year by the OPSWA. Baker was the NW District Defensive Player of the Year last year. This was his second consecutive first team All-Ohio nod.

Senior Caden Cunningham had a breakout year at defensive back with six interceptions and 13 pass-breakups to round out the first team All-Ohioans.

Senior quarterback Hayden Kuhn earned third team honors at quarterback after throwing for 1,400-plus yards and 15 TDs.

Seniors Devin Holloway (kicker) and Shawn Bailey (linebacker) were honorable mention.

A pair of Loudonville Redbirds joined the Cougars on the All-Ohio list in Division VI. Senior wide receiver Zach Frankford and senior defensive lineman Micah Simpson were also honorable mention selections.

The Northwestern Huskies placed two on the All-Ohio list. Senior quarterback Ethan Siders was a second team All-Ohio selection while senior wide receiver Craig Reed and senior defensive back Nolan Hartsel were honorable mentions.

Black River placed three on the All-Ohio list. Senior defensive back Tyler Mrakuzic was a first team selection while junior punter Eric Grosser took second team honors. Junior linebacker Blake Hopkins was an honorable mention selection.
