Crews work to clean up thousands of gallons of hydrochloric acid

Hours before President Biden was set to arrive in Cincinnati Friday morning, Hazmat crews responded to an acid leak in Fairfield.

Firefighters were called to a rail car carrying 20,000 gallons of hydrochloric acid that began leaking as crews were unloading material.

Crews contained the leak to just the facility.

Two hazmat crews were called to clean up the leak.

No nearby business had to evacuate.

It took crews three hours to clean up.
