Crews continue to battle Borden brush fire
Nov. 20—BORDEN — Emergency agencies continued Monday morning to fight flames in a Borden brush fire.
According to Tri-Township Fire Protection District, the blaze started in the area of Top Of The Rock Road and Ind. 60 on Sunday afternoon.
Fire Chief Amir Mousavi said Monday morning that people who live in the area need to be vigilant and call police if they see any sign of the fire spreading onto their property.
"If they live close to this area they need to be looking for any spread," Mousavi said. "If they live between three to four miles of the area, they need to be checking their yard, their house (for any embers.)"
He said if residents see any evidence of the fire spreading they need to call 911 immediately and give their exact location.
The fire is burning in the area of Ind. 60 in Borden.
