Crews respond to burning detached garage in northeast Berks
Jul. 24—Crews were called to a detached garage on fire Saturday night in the countryside of Ruscombmanor Township.
The call went out about 6:40 p.m. for the first block of Rapp Road for a fully involved detached garage. Numerous fire companies were called to the scene.
Reports were that it was a 30-foot by 30-foot structure.
Smoke was visible from a distance on approach. The fire scene commander reported about 7:12 p.m. that crews were making good progress, according to emergency reports.
The flames were declared under control about 7:30 p.m.
