House destroyed in fire at former alpaca farm in West Deer Township
Multiple crews are on scene of a large fire at a house on a former alpaca farm in West Deer Township.

Allegheny County 911 tells Channel 11 police, fire and EMS were called to the 1100 block of Logan Road, off Kaufman Road, just after 6:30 p.m.
Cell phone video obtained by Channel 11 from around the time the fire started shows flames engulfing the house.
Fire Chief Anthony Creaturo tells Channel 11 the blaze started when a fire in a fireplace got out of control. He says the house is a total loss.
Adam Rejniak is the nephew of the homeowner and he lives just up the street. He came running when he heard what was happening.
“They were massive. When I went down the whole house was in flames. There wasn’t a single part that wasn’t in flames,” Rejniak said.
Rejniak says his uncle is the only one who lives here and he got out safely.
The fire chief tells says this fire has been so difficult to battle because of the freezing temperatures and because the home collapsed in on itself.
