Crews respond to house fire in Swissvale

Crews responded to a house fire in Swissvale.

The fire started in a home in the 2400 block of Woodstock Avenue. The call came in just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

The house was vacant at the time of the fire.

Allegheny County Fire Department and Swissvale Fire Department responded to the scene.

Woodstock Avenue is closed until crews clear the scene.

According to officials at the scene, three families and five people are without a home because of this fire. The fire caused damaged to a neighboring home.

A firefighter suffered a rotator cuff injury.
