Crikey! Video shows Kingsland Police wrangling alligator

The Kingsland Police Department Wednesday morning helped the community by moving an uninvited guest from outside a resident’s house: an alligator!

With the assistance of local planning and zoning Building Inspector Dale Taylor, Officer Thorton was able to wrangle the gator with his bare hands seen in the posted Facebook video away from the local houses and back into its proper habitat.

The alligator was safely released into the St. Mary’s River to enjoy the rest of the day, saying goodbye with a large splash as it swam away.

It is important to note that handling alligators, even small ones may result in bites or injury and should be left to professionals.
