Crime of the week: Suspect pulls switchblade on Target employees while shoplifting

A shoplifter threatened store employees with a switchblade at a Central El Paso store, and the police are asking for help to identify the armed robber through the Crime of The Week.

On Jan. 15, a man on a scooter entered a Target store in Bassett Place, 6001 Gateway West Blvd. The man placed the scooter in a shopping cart and began to grab various items throughout the store. Loss prevention employees noticed that the man was putting merchandise inside a backpack and walking towards the exit.

When loss prevention employees confronted the man, he pulled out a switchblade and threatened them.

The man fled the store in a black scooter and took various electronic items.

He is 5 feet, 7 inches, with black hair. He was wearing a black and white baseball cap, a black facemask, a black hooded jacket, a white shirt, black pants, and black athletic shoes.
