Crimean Titan plant turned into Russian military base, guerrillas say
Russian invasion forces have turned the Crimean Titan chemical plant into a military base, the pro-Ukrainian Atesh partisan movement reported on Telegram on July 4.
"Atesh agents report a difficult situation at the chemical facility," the report said.
"Russia has turned the plant into a military base. They deployed air defense systems there, as well as a large number of troops. The entire area is completely mined."
The occupying authorities are also laying off plant's employees at an alarming rate, Atesh reported. Production has almost completely halted.

The guerrillas believe Russians intends to turn the chemical facility into a defensive stronghold.
"They are ready to blackmail the entire world and Ukraine with a new environmental disaster,” Atesh noted.
“They don't care about the locals or the environment. [The Russians are] despicable barbarians.”
Military intelligence spokesperson Andriy Yusov said the Russians were disabling production in case of a withdrawal from the peninsula, or to commit a terror attack similar to the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam.
Head of the Joint Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, has pointed out that Russia is utterly capable of creating another man-made environmental disaster in Ukraine, as they already have at the Kakhovka Dam.
