The case is closed: “Criminal Minds” is coming back after all.

The long-running CBS show, which premiered in 2005 and wrapped in 2020, will be revived at Paramount+, the streamer confirmed to Deadline Friday.

Original stars Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler and Pager Brewster will all be returning, according to the outlet.

Unlike the original show though, the 10-episode revival will focus on a single case so as to encourage binging.

“For 15 seasons, ‘Criminal Minds’ was at the forefront of cutting-edge scripted drama as it explored the psychology behind crime — thrillingly,” Nicole Clemens, president of Paramount+ Original Scripted Series, told Deadline, noting the streamer is “beyond excited to bring it back into a new era with new stories for a new generation of viewers at Paramount+.”

Brewster expressed doubt last year that the revival would ever come to pass, noting on Twitter, “We think it’s dead.”

Erica Messer — who served as both executive producer and showrunner on the original procedural — was already confirmed to return and will hold the titles of showrunner, executive producer and writer, noted Deadline.
