Crimson Tide drops road game to Georgia 82-76

The Crimson Tide entered tonight’s game against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens as double-digit favorites, and are walking out with a devastating and shocking six-point loss.

Alabama (13-7, 4-4) entered ranked second in the SEC and No. 12 nationally in scoring average at 81.4 points per game. The Crimson Tide shot 44.3% overall, but only 9 of 34 from distance.

Jaden Shackelford scored 20 points, including six 3-pointers, for Alabama. Ellis had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Noah Gurley scored 11.

Georgia (6-14, 1-6 SEC) won its first conference game since Feb. 23, 2021, ending a streak of nine straight SEC losses.

Next up for Alabama is a matchup at home against the Baylor Bears on Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
