Crimson Tide MBB up against Mississippi State on the road 41-37

Alabama (11-5, 2-2) is on their first two-game losing skid in two years after suffering losses to Missouri on the road and No. 4 Auburn at home. They will look to get back into the win column and end that streak before it gets out of hand in their fifth SEC game of the year.

Tonight they’re taking on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who have gotten off to a 2-1 start in SEC play. Their overall record this season is 11-4.

Alabama didn’t have many problems offensively and dominated the offensive boards, pulling down 9 in the half. They shot 40% from the field including 20% from three. The Tide has yet to shoot to its potential since going cold with the weather in late December.

James Rojas made his 2021-22 season debut after debuting in the middle of the first half. he logged about five minutes and contributed two points, two rebounds and a steal.

Defensively, the Crimson Tide could do better, but it hasn’t been terrible. They’ve allowed State to shoot 44% from the field. The Bulldogs haven’t hit on a three yet out of six attempts.

There were 14 lead changes in the first half in this back and forth affair between these SEC West rivals.

We’ll see how Alabama fares in the second half and bring you a postgame report as soon as possible after the game.
