Man rescued from Cape Cod Canal dies. State Environmental Police investigate.

A man died on Sunday after he was pulled from the water of the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne, according to a spokesperson for the Massachusetts Environmental Police.

He was pulled from the water by a good Samaritan and transported to Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Massachusetts Environmental Police said no further information could be provided because its investigation was ongoing.

A Bourne Fire Department ambulance took a "priority one" patient from Barlows Landing in Pocasset to the hospital Sunday morning, according to Bourne Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Carrara.

"We were called at 10:30 yesterday morning to meet a boat coming in," Carrara said.
