Crocker Park Block Party Touch-A-Truck event is June 11

Jun. 8—Crocker Park, 177 Market St. in Westlake, will kick off the summer from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 11, with an enormous, community block party where guests can climb in and out of local law enforcements' coolest vehicles that will be on display, according to a news release.

In partnership with Hermes Sports & Events, the day will start at 9:30 a.m. with the Crocker Bark 5K presented by Elite K911 in support of the Westlake Police K9 Unit, the release said.

Runners, walkers and their dogs all are welcome, the release said.

Following the race, beginning at 11 a.m., the streets of Crocker Park will be closed for the block party, in partnership with the Westlake Police Department.

All are welcome to attend this free event which will include:

—Meet-and-Greet with Westlake Police Department law enforcement officers, SWAT, Bomb Unit, Westlake Fire Department and more.—Touch-A-Truck event allowing access inside display vehicles—Westlake Police Department K-9 Unit demonstrations—Live Music—Chalk Zone sponsored by Sherwin Williams—Face painting, balloon twister, fun with bubbles—Real pop fusion—Dino Days Shows — meet Winter the T-Rex and some Dino Babies—Realm of the Reptiles shows and meet and greets with their slithery friends.—Vendors and exhibitors

Crocker Park Block Party is presented by Aqua-Tots Swim Schools with support by many fantastic local partners, including Merrill Lynch Westlake, Budget Heating & Air Conditioning, Cuyahoga Community College and Sherwin Williams, according to the release.
