Cross-country: Litchfield girls third at Maple Lake

Sep. 3—MAPLE LAKE — The St. John's Prep boys and Mound-Westonka girls took home the team titles at the Maple Lake Invitational Friday at Robert Ney Memorial Park.

The Litchfield girls finished in third place with 95 points, bested only by Mound-Westonka's 26 and Buffalo's 72. The Dragons' top runner was Kimberlyn Case in 15th place at 24 minutes, 8.9 seconds.

St. John's Prep's Olivia Pauly won with a time of 20:52.3.

The Litchfield boys were fifth with 133 while Paynesville was eighth with 213. St. John's Prep won with 52, beating Parnassus Prep by five points.

Ole Rogness paced the Dragon boys with a ninth-place time of 18:38.1. Paynesville/BBE's Brady Schwinghammer was 26th at 20:05.8.

The boys' top runner was St. John's Prep's Nick Hansen at 17:34.6.
