Cross Country: SCAA Jamboree results from Hillsdale
HILLSDALE — The weather gets colder but the cross country season begins to heat up as SCAA programs participated in their first jamboree of the season.
Hillsdale Academy hosted this season's first jamboree, which was held at Hayden Park. The course features a long up-hill climb to start the race, and the course was lined with family and fans who cheered on their teams.
Team Final Scores
In the 5,000-meter varsity boys race, Lenawee Christian took home the win. The Hillsdale Academy boys cross country team, despite taking first and second in the race, ended up in second place overall.
Individual records saw Tyler Barnes of Hillsdale Will Carleton Academy run a personal career best time. Alex Draper ran a personal best time. Camden-Frontier's Wyatt Gary ran a personal best time.
The Hillsdale Academy girls cross country team took first place as a team. Lenawee Christian had a runner finish first overall, but Hillsdale Academy quickly followed with several runners in the top 10. Pittsford's girls cross country team took second overall, with runners finishing in the top 10.
Individual records saw Riley McCumber of Pittsford run her personal best time of her career. Camden-Frontier's Taylor Lautermilch ran her best time of the season. Iris Millies of Hillsdale Academy ran a personal record time.
