Crowd swarms Ukrainian food festival in Carnegie with support

A crowd of people swarmed a Ukrainian church in Carnegie with support during its food festival.

The festival sold out of food within its first few hours.

Homemade food was planned to be sold at the Saint Peter and Paul Orthodox church until 7 p.m. but organizers said all the food had been bought by 3 p.m.

Organizers said they were overwhelmed by the support.

“Turnout was fantastic. We had a great crowd yesterday but today it was standing room only,” said Stephen Hauluzcak.

The Ukrainian Food Festival’s success in Carnegie happened the same day Russian troops announced that they would be pulling troops out of part of Ukraine.
