Crowdfunding campaign launched for new Tupac movie

Rap music artist Tupac Shakur.

The late rapper Tupac Shakur's final days could be dramatized for the big screen if a new film "7 Dayz" comes into fruition.

Gobi Rahimi, who directed two of the musician's videos, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to fund the project to the tune of $300,000.

The film will focus on the last week of Tupac's life, as he lay in hospital fighting for his life following a Las Vegas shootout on September 7, 1996. It will feature previously unseen archive footage of the legendary hip-hop star.
"I was witness to Tupac's final days and I owe it to him and to the world to tell this story," writes Rahimi on his Indiegogo page.
