Cruise line is offering free food, day aboard ship to furloughed employees

As the government shutdown stretches on, more and more companies are offering aid and incentives to furloughed employees who are struggling to make ends meet without consistent paychecks.

For employees living in the Sunshine state, one cruise line may have just come up with one of the sweetest offers yet.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line (which is based in Palm Beach, Florida) is offering free lunch to government employees impacted by the shutdown, as well as an afternoon experiencing all the cruise line has to offer aboard the line's two ships.

The promotion will run from Monday, January 21 until Thursday, January 31 (omitting January 25 and 26) or until the government shutdown ends.

Furloughed employees will be able to stop by both ships (the Grand Celebration and Grand Classica) between 12 pm and 3 pm on each of the run dates.

All employees need to do is contact Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line to reserve a table for the buffet-style lunch and day of fun aboard one of the ships and must provide a federal ID at check in.

The shops will be docked at Port of Palm Beach in Riviera Beach, Florida.
