This Cruise Line Wants To Pay You To Travel The World And Eat
Pretty much everyone at some point or another has fantasized about quitting their day job and traveling the world, tasting amazing food and drinks along the way. Now, those dreams could become a reality as one cruise line wants to pay someone to be a dedicated taste tester—and all you have to do is apply.
Cruise Croatia put out a call this week on its website looking for "foodies and wine connoisseurs" to join its Food and Wine Cruise in October 2020. The cruise will sail around the coast of Croatia for seven nights, traveling from Split to Dubrovnik. The trip includes guided tours, cooking experiences, and of course, tons of amazing food and drinks, including four-course lunches (!) and wine tastings. (Cruise Croatia is also the company that put on that "Game of Thrones" cruise so, yeah, they know what they're doing.)
The lucky person chosen for this opportunity will get to do everything the cruise has to offer for free and will even be compensated £500 (around $605) for trying everything out and giving the crew feedback for future cruises. Sounds like a VERY good deal.
All you have to do to be considered for the opportunity is apply on the company's website by September 4. Along with some basic information about yourself, you also need to let the company know why you're the best and most qualified person for the job and why you would be excited to take the journey.
Cruise Croatia outlined some attributes of their ideal candidate on the job listing and along with a solid knowledge of wines, they want someone who isn't afraid to give feedback and isn't afraid to try new things.
Basically, it sounds like you're about to write the world's most exciting cover letter where you get to talk about your love of wine and good food. Crossing my fingers for you!
