Crumbl Cookies is headed to Dartmouth. Here's what we know.

DARTMOUTH — Made internet famous by TikTok, Crumbl Cookies, is heading to the SouthCoast with signs popping up in the Dartmouth Town Centre right next to Sally's Beauty Supply. The social media sensation has thousands of reviews on different platforms, with the closest locations currently being in Attleboro and Plymouth, now SouthCoast residents can see what the sweet hype is all about.

What is Crumbl Cookies?

Crumbl Cookies is a cookie franchise started by two cousins in Utah in 2017, and it has grown to over 600 locations nationwide. The company bills itself as the fastest and largest-growing cookie company in the nation. According to its website, Crumbl focuses on developing unique and delicious cookies inspired by popular flavors, foods, and desserts of all kinds, from pies to cakes to candies and more. With the power of branding and social media, it has created a well-sought-after dessert that is likely to have lines out the door upon opening the first SouthCoast franchise location.

What kind of cookies do they sell?

Famous for its weekly rotating menu of cookies, with the only staple being its original milk chocolate chip cookie, each week they release a six-cookie menu from over 200 recipes. The shop is closed on Sundays when Crumbl Cookies' corporate announces the next week's specialty flavors online and on social media. The unique rotation of flavors gives customers the ability to try something new each week with flavors such as New York Cheese Cake, Birthday Cake, Waffle, Caramel Popcorn, Muddy Buddy, and many more.

“Our cookies are delicious and take any celebration to the next level,” said Crumbl CEO and Co-founder, JasonMcGowan said in a press release. “We offer takeout, local delivery, curbside pickup, nationwide shipping, and catering. When it comes to celebrating with friends and family, we want Crumbl there to make it even sweeter.”

How did they become social media sensations?

During the pandemic, when people spent more time on the internet, Crumbl opened a TikTok account featuring popular trends and its new flavors each week. Now they have a following of over 6.5 million. The account is full of trending voiceovers, reviews from customers, cookie-making and decorating, as well as fun mini "commercials." Their Instagram account which has over 3.5 million followers lets the cookies speak for themselves with the announcement of each week's flavors and glamour shots of each cookie that will make your mouth water.

How much do they cost?

The cookies sold in the iconic pink box are $4 each; $13 for a box of four; or $33 per dozen. The stores offer an open-concept kitchen where customers can watch staff members mix, bake, and prepare the cookies fresh adding to the overall experience.

Although Dartmouth is not yet listed on its website the sign on the door says it is coming soon, and there is no doubt that the SouthCoast will give it a warm welcome.
