DJ Short: Nothing is certain but death, taxes, and Nelson Cruz [? mashing. ?] It looked like maybe the 41-year-old was finally slowing down with his unusually quiet May, but he bounced back in a big way in June, batting 0.380 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs over 22 games.

Cruz is hitting the ball just as hard as ever. As of Thursday, July 1st, he was in the 94th percentile or better in terms of barrel percentage, hard-hit percentage, and average exit velocity. His bat isn't slowing down one bit.

Cruz has been a tad more aggressive this year, but it hasn't hurt him in terms of making contact. There's every reason to think the ageless wonder can keep this going but the only question might be if the Twins end up trading him. Still, that could end up being a good thing from a Fantasy perspective as he continues to climb the all-time leader boards in run production.
