CTU, CPS come to tentative agreement for high school in-person learning

Chicago Public Schools high schoolers are supposed to return to the classroom next week.

- Chicago Public High School teachers on hold. They're holding a teach out this morning after refusing to report to work for a second day. The teachers union and school officials locked in negotiations over a reopening plan for students ahead of Monday's start date. The union worried about a new uptick in cases, especially in young people. Union officials say, agreements have been made, but not enough to get the deal done.

JACKSON POTTER: We have pandemic fatigue too, but we are not willing to sacrifice the lives of our students or their families because we're tired and we want to get back to normal.

- CPS says, students will be back in class on Monday.
