Culture Secretary announces £400m arts funding

Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden visits Wolverhampton, where he announced around £400 million will go to support arts, culture and heritage organisations in the next round of the Culture Recovery Fund.

OLIVER DOWDEN: It's essential that we preserve places like this up and down the country for future generations. So that's why we've announced 2 billion pounds worth of support through the Cultural Recovery Fund and really today is about moving from surviving to thriving. So take a theater like this, they've had 1.2 million pounds to help them survive and they've now received another 500,000 pounds, which will help them in order to reopen and get people back in seeing the things that they love.
