Culture of Silence: How we found scandal, suppression in local Catholic Church

When the Rev. Geoff Drew was indicted in August on 9 counts of rape, and reporter Craig Cheatham discovered past complaints about Drew’s behavior had been made to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, the I-Team started reviewing 50 years of Catholic Directories. What we found: Local Catholic officials failed to track accused priests, didn’t disclose names of many priests with credible allegations — and refused to answer questions.
