Cumberland County will host a series of community forums to gather public input on how it should use its share of settlement funds from opioid-related lawsuits.

The county's recently-formed National Opioid Settlement Advisory Council will work with the Cumberland County Alcohol and Drug Services Office to recommend how the funds will be used, and report those recommendations to the state. Bridgeton, Millville and Vineland are the municipalities participating in the national settlement (state and local distributions for 2022 and 2023 have already been made).

The meetings will take place as follows:

  • Bridgeton: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, Cumberland County Library, 800 E. Commerce St.

  • Vineland: 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 1058 Landis Ave.
