Friday will be an asynchronous learning day, meaning students will work independently on assignments updated to the Canvas platform, according to the release.

Students in elementary and middle schools will have five days to complete assignments and high school students will have three days. Students enrolled in classes at Fayetteville Technical Community College, Fayetteville State University and College Connections are asked to contact their instructors for guidance, the release said.

The Prime Time Before & After School Program will be closed Friday, and all athletic events and after-school activities have also been canceled or rescheduled.
