Cumberland woman jailed on 7 warrants

Feb. 15—CUMBERLAND — A city woman awaits court appearances after she was taken into custody on seven warrants issued by the circuit and district courts of Allegany County, according to Cumberland Police.

Following arrest Wednesday, a district court commissioner ordered Jakela Tonice Watkins to be jailed without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center, pending court appearances.

Police said the warrants served to Watkins, 34, related to alleged offenses that included home invasion and first-degree assault, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, violation of probation and pre-trial release conditions, theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle reportedly stolen from Springfield, West Virginia.
